Terms and conditions of the ICEE South Africa 2018 social media competition

The promoter of the competition is the International Consumer Electronics Expo of South Africa 2018 (ICEE South Africa 2018). This competition is open to any person who is 18 years or older. Participants need to be residents of South Africa or South African.

In order to enter to win prizes, participants must visit ICEE South Africa on 8 or 9 November 2018, find promoters in the exhibition area with the official ICEE South Africa 2018 selfie frames, have a photo taken in the frame and share the photo on social media (Twitter, or Facebook, or Instagram) with the hashtag #iceeSA2018. Photos shared without the correct hashtag will not be eligible to win a prize.

Winners will have to collect their prizes from the ICEE South Africa 2018 venue, the Sandton Convention Centre.

Winners will be randomly selected and announced on the official ICEE social media channels on 8 and 9 November 2018.

Winners will have three hours in which to claim their prize before it is awarded to a runner-up.

ICEE South Africa 2018 reserves the right to remove/delete any pictures and/or posts it may deem inappropriate. Employees of ICEE South Africa 2018, ICEE’s advertising and promotion agencies, and associated companies and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter the competition.

The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Winners will be notified as soon as the decision is made, via social media.

By accepting the prize, winners agree that ICEE South Africa 2018 will be entitled to publish their names and photographs, at no cost, in any advertising, promotional, print, point-of-sale or public relations material for a period of 12 (twelve) months from the end of the competition period.

All participants and winners indemnify the organisers, associated companies, their advertising and promotion agencies, and their directors, officers, employees and agents, against any and all claims for any loss or damages, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever in connection with their participation in any way whatsoever in this promotion. Prior to awarding the prize, ICEE South Africa 2018 may require the winner to sign such an indemnity or waiver of liability. If a winner cannot provide such indemnity if requested, they will forfeit the prize and the prize will once again be distributed by a separate draw. The ineligible winner will have no claim against ICEE South Africa 2018 in this event.

ICEE South Africa 2018 reserves the right at any time prior to the final draw to vary the nature of the competition or the prizes, or to vary these terms and conditions, or to withdraw the competition. In such an event, all participants hereby waive any rights that they may have against ICEE South Africa 2018 and hereby acknowledge that they will have no recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against ICEE South Africa 2018, its directors, affiliates, members, partners, employees, sponsors, agents or consultants.

By entering the competition, all entrants agree that any participation in this competition is subject to these terms and conditions, which will be interpreted by ICEE South Africa 2018 in its sole discretion, and that ICEE South Africa 2018’s decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding. All information relating to this competition published on any promotional or advertising material in any media at any time before or during the competition period will form part of the terms and conditions of entry.
